Healing101 – #SurvivingCOVID19

As we all know, we are collectively trying to find our way during this tough time. We’ve had to re-adjust our lives in ways + areas we possibly never could have imagined (at least I couldn’t). Instead of focusing on the virus itself, I wanted to use this time to help you all find the beauty, the balance + the peace in all of this. Here are some simple ways to be aware, mindful + most importantly intentional with your words, your thoughts, + daily habits during this difficult time:

BREATHE: Yes, something so simple, so natural, yet often taken for granted. If air is filling your body right now, know that you are in fact blessed + in control. At the start of your day, use this time to concentrate + focus on your breathing. By doing this, you will not only learn the rhythm + flow of your breathing, but you will also be able to tell if at any point, you are in fact experiencing any shortness of breath or difficulty breathing.

Begin by positioning your hands in “Gassho” (prayer position) + placing them at the center of your chest/Heart Chakra. Start by taking slow + deep breaths inhaling through the nostrils, holding for 3-4 seconds, + exhaling/blowing out through the mouth. In doing this, allow your mind to be totally relaxed + releasing all tension. Remember FEAR is felt in the chest, INTUITION is felt in the gut. Intentional breathing helps release the tension + fear (which all of us are possibly experiencing right now). Some great Crystals that can be used during this exercise are: Amethyst, Rose Quartz, Clear Quartz, Amazonite + Citrine (available for purchase on site).

MOVE: When was the last time you’ve been outside? No, I don’t mean to run to the grocery store or to go hop in your car; I mean really been outside? I think as adults we forget the importance of nature. Remember as children how our parents would literally have to drag in the house during the summertime? We need to get back to that, as a collective! Moving is essential + also helps the body release Happy Endorphins. Spend some time in nature, take your family on a walk, or just simply spend some time just sitting on your balcony. With gym closures around the country, use this time to dance! Open the windows + allow the sun + air into your homes! Blast that summertime feel good music +just catch the vibe. Hey, Alexa, play “Homecoming” by Beyonce. Great crystals that can be used to help promote stagnation are: Malachite, Tourmaline, and Selenite (also sold on the site).

DRINK WATER + EAT LIVING FOODS: Again, something so simple, yet so important, but often ignored! Water keeps energy flowing while cleansing + nurturing at the same time. Including real (non-processed) foods in your daily diet is also said to help boost the immune system + as well as your mood! Try including fresh + raw fruits + veggies as a snack for not only yourself but also your family! Cleansing tip, be sure to soak all product in apple cider vinegar (or white distilled vinegar) prior to storing + consuming.

HERBAL REMEDIES: As you all know, I am a master herbalist + adding herbs to my diet has become a lifestyle! If you’re new to herbal remedies, be sure to reach out to myself (herbal consultations are available) and/or a trusted herbalist or even your PCP (primary care physician). All herbs cannot be consumed by everyone + depending on if you’re currently on any medications, could may have a reverse effect. Adding herbs to your diet doesn’t have to be complicated, you could simply start with the following:

  • Urinary Health: Try our Sacred Space Womb Tea (available for purchase via the site), blended with herbs such as Red Raspberry Leaf, Red Clover + Vitex to help balance PH levels, PMS symptoms, or even PCOS. Tea also serves as a great natural remedy to help prepare the womb for Conception.

  • Detox/Cleanse: I know you have seen more than your fair share of “detox teas” but a lot of them do not contain enough of the herbs needed to help cleanse or fight parasites in the body! In addition to clean eating, try herbs such as Dandelion Root or even Nettle to help cleanse the blood!

REIKI: My next suggestion to help you flow during this difficult time is REIKI! Reiki is a form of alternative medicine called energy healing. Reiki practitioners use a technique called palm healing or hands-on healing through which a "universal energy" is said to be transferred through the palms of the practitioner to the patient in order to encourage emotional or physical healing. LIVE IN GRATITUDE: I know everyone is getting cabin fever, but now is a great time to really be present! I trust God + I find peace in knowing that everything is working for my + your greater good! Use this time to slow down! Enjoy all of the time you’re able to freely spend with your family. Enjoy not having to be in the AM commute you dreaded + complained about every morning on your way into the office. Be thankful for being able to be home so that you can cook yourself + your family a hot breakfast + dinner each night. Yes, the energy is super intense right now, but you’re HERE. I’m HERE. Everyone I love is safe + protected. Everyone is together! Find joy in that, find peace in that. Thank God every morning + night for all that you have, no matter how much or how little.
